The STANLEY Family

 

 Quatre membres de cette famille avaient pris place à bord du Hilda. Domiciliés à Bloomfield, Ile de Wight, ils séjournaient régulièrement à Dinard.

Four members of this family had taken place on board the Hilda. Living in Bloomfield, Isle of Wight, they used to come to Dinard regularly.

 

Thomas, Carter STANLEY

Fils de Thomas et Lucy CARTER, Thomas STANLEY était né à Alnwick (Northumberland) en 1834 puis il était devenu homme d'église. Pasteur au sein des armées, il avait notamment été l'aumonier de l'Ambassade britannique à Berne (Suisse).

Son of Thomas and Lucy CARTER, Thomas STANLEY  was born in Alnwick (Northumberland) in 1834 and was a clergyman. He served as Chaplain of the British Army Forces and at the British Legation in Bern (Switzerland).

Catherine HARRISON-STANLEY

C.Stanley, épouse de Thomas, était née vers 1845 à Holywood (Irlande). Elle était fille de John Harrison, Directeur de la Belfast & Ballymena Railway qui apparaît comme ayant été l’un des principaux actionnaires de la Belfast & County Down Railway en 1845 (Cf. The Armagh Guardian, 6 May 1845)

C.Stanley, wife of Thomas, was born ca.1845 at Holywodd (Ireland). She was the daughter of John Harrison, Manager of the Belfast & Ballymena Railway. He appears to have been one of the most important auctioners of the Belfast & County Down Railway in 1845 (see The Armagh Guardian, 6 May 1845).

Thomas and Catherine had 5 children, their daughters Norah and Mildred had taken place on board the Hilda with them.

Ils sont réunis à présent dans le cimetière de Dinard. They are now buried in Dinard Cemetery.
